Sporting equipment may consist of but not limited to: golf bags, diving equipment, fishing gear, bikes, tandems, surf boards, wave-body boards, wind surfers and hang-gliders. Jambojet considers Small Fishing Equipment to be that which is 64 inches or less in length while Large Fishing Equipment is that which is above 64 inches in length.
Jambojet considers one piece of sporting equipment not to weigh more than 20 kg. Sporting equipment shall attract a special flat fee of KES 2,300 and can be pre-booked. Any sporting equipment that exceeds that weight will be charged at KES 400 per kg. Each piece of checked in luggage shall not exceed 32Kg.
All requests to carry any of the sports equipment mentioned in the above section must be made at the time of booking, or through our call centre at least 48 hours before departure. All equipment must be adequately arranged and packed. It must also be secured so as to prevent any damage to it and avoid problems or damage during boarding, carriage and exiting. Jambojet will not be liable for any damage to special equipment.
Passenger must arrive in sufficient time in order to check in the aforementioned sports items.
Such sport equipment will be checked in as excess baggage, regardless of the luggage allowance to which the Passenger is entitled.
Depending on the volume, characteristics and weight of certain items, Jambojet can refuse carriage of any of the aforementioned items or, alternatively and if it were possible at the company's criteria, carry them on other flights at an additional cost, all in accordance with the limitations of load and stability of the aircraft and, fundamentally, the safety of the flight.
